Youngsters turn out for Rugby Junior Triathlon

Rugby Editorial 8th Jul, 2015 Updated: 27th Oct, 2016   0

ALMOST the entire Rugby Junior Triathlon Club turned out to race on their home turf as they hosted pupils for the Rugby School Triathlon event.

A number of the juniors were taking part in their first ever triathlon and Rugby School was the perfect venue for them on June 28.

The Triathlon comprised of a pool-based swim followed by a cycle ride and finished off by a run, with each varying in distance depending on age.

First-timers included Zoe Dredge, Hal Chessel, Jemima Teeton, Jamie Williams, Bede Teeton, Abe Chessel, James Day, Jake Louis, Helen Warburton and Martin Warburton.

Other pupils taking part included those from Wellingborough School and the Rugby Triathlon Juniors, who use the school for their training sessions.
