RUGBY dropped down to eighth in the Warwickshire Premier Division after losing by three wickets at Kings Heath on Saturday.
After winning the toss and electing to bat first, the visitors were bowled all out in 50 overs for 178, with Henry Parker top scoring with 48 and he was helped out by opener Henry Wilkins who posted 42 from 29 balls.
Wajahat Chohan was the pick of the bowlers for the home side after taking three wickets from his 12 overs and conceding 43 runs, while Suhail Rashid (2 for 66), Usman Khan (2 for 31) and Luke Baker (2 for 7) also claimed wickets.
The early dismissal of Khan for 0 gave Rugby hope but Kings Heath son worked up the runs and reached the winning target of 182 for for 7 with Callum Bird hitting 39.
