RUGBY Borough completed a dream debut season by lifting the Leicestershire Senior League Division One Cup on Saturday.
Borough thumped Barrow Town 5-0 to secure a league and cup double after they were crowned LSL Division One champions earlier in the week.
Within minutes the Barrow defence was tested as Ollie Chater struck the crossbar from 30 yards before Borough took the lead after 23 minutes when Jamie Paye headed home.
Borough went into the break 2-0 to the good after Luis Corcoran finished from Paye’s throughball.
After the interval Paye volleyed home Borough’s third with Adam Shaw notching up Borough’s fourth, shooting across the keeper into the bottom corner.
In the final minute Borough were awarded a penalty when Corcoran was brought down and goalkeeper Ashley Bodycote smashed home the final goal of the game.
