RUGBY Swimming Club’s artistic swimmers won 14 medals at the Regional Age Groups competition at the Walsall Gala Baths.
The club came away with six gold, six silver and two bronze medals with all of Rugby’s squads working on their routines since October last year.
Rugby’s 12 and under and youth swimmers took part in the individual figure competition as Lola Huett won silver and Frankie Klym claimed bronze.
In the combination teams events, Rugby’s 13 to 15-year-old squad won gold in Division Two with their Beetlejuice routine.
The team of Saranne Black, Amelie Jeary, Mellinda Bogdanova, Isobelle Watkins, Lucy Gates and Darcey Townsend produced a solid performance to come away with the top prize.
And Rugby’s 13 to 15-year-old squad also took gold in the Division One category with their swim to Six the musical.
The team of Emily Babb, Isabella Franks, Mabel Chapman, Ayla King, Alice Pavlova, Leah Anstruther, Isabel Strain, Ruth Ho, Sophia Myronova, Jemima Parkinson and Daisy Jenkins wowed the crowd in attendance to win gold.
And Rugby’s 15 and above squad won Division Two gold with their routine to the theme tune of 90’s TV show Gladiators.
The team of Chloe Barrett-Leafe, Rebecca Harper, Natalia Rodrigues, Sophie Henry, Georgina Stoddart, Isabella Flaig, Daisy Clark, Kara Duckett, Beatrice Banks and Poppy Jenkins swam superbly to claim gold.
Rugby’s 13 to 18-year-old Division One team of Annika Reddy, Katie Green, Daniel Rodrigues, Esther Tovey-Keane, Holly Biddulph and Connie Long won bronze for their Blues Brothers routine.
And Rugby’s 12 and under Division One team won silver swimming to the lively ‘Tell Me Ma’ tune as Mila Colledge, Erin Bloomfield, Payton Gaskin, Izzy Rycroft, Elise Kelly, Olivia Bottger, Esme Ravenhall, Lily Bartholomew, Katerina Myronova and Elizabeth Silk all came away with medals.
Another Beetlejuice routine saw the club’s 13 to 15-year-old free team of Huett, Klym, Molly Doolin and Keva Ennis storm to gold.
Doolin then won gold in the solo competition with Ennis claiming silver while the double of Huett and Klym took gold in the duet event.
And Doolin also took silver in a duet with a swimmer from Nottingham-based Bramcote AquaStars.
Rugby swimmers Lottie Wilkins, Sophie Croft and reserve Caitlin-Rose Smith won silver for their Hairspray routine in the 12 and under duet category.
And Rugby’s Division Two ‘Team Jump’ squad of Wilkins, Croft, Smith, Amelia Storr, Elsa Gaskin, Catherine Yu, Izzy Maglione and Seren Humphry also won silver.
