RUGBY Swimming Club’s artistic swimmers dominated proceedings in the pool at the Regional Championships.
The club’s senior swimmers, aged 15 to 18-years-old, earned a string of medals and personal best scores.
Rugby’s swimmers competed in a range of events, including technical, free and acrobatic team routines along with the technical duet.
And Rugby won gold in every category they entered.
The senior technical team took first place with a high-energy routine set to the dance anthem ‘Everybody Dance Now’.
The team of Olivia Barry, Chloe Bartholomew, Matilda John, Molly Doolin, Imogen Ravenhall, Olivia Eaves, Eve Nelson and Tyra Watson executed the routine with precision to take gold.
In the free team category, the squad of Nelson, Eaves, Watson, Barry, Ravenhall, Bartholomew, John and Poppy Williams also claimed gold.
The team delivered a confident and entertaining swim with their dynamic ‘Pink Ladies’ routine.
And Rugby’s acrobatic team also won gold as Saranne Black, Beatrice Banks, Natalia Rodrigues, Chloe Barrett-Leafe, Emilia Owen, Alexa Holland, Amy Buckley and Rebecca Harper all came away with medals.
The team secured gold with a routine set to ‘All That Jazz’ from Chicago.
More gold came Rugby’s way in the technical duet as Ravenhall and John impressed the judges to take top spot in a highly competitive field.
The event marked the first competition of the season for the club’s senior swimmers ahead of the National Championships later this month.
