SKY BLUES supporters were hailed in Coventry City’s dramatic last-gasp 2-1 win over Reading, as manager Mark Robins pointed to the Coventry Building Society Arena crowd for getting the hosts over the line last weekend.
Matty Godden’s 98th-minute goal helped complete a sensational Championship comeback against the Royals, with Jamie Allen cancelling out John Swift’s first-half penalty to send City fourth.
“I think the supporters have a massive bearing on that result,” said Robins.
“The energy that they’re providing is huge, there’s one common denominator between all of the club’s eras, and it’s them – it can’t be underestimated.
“The work that’s going on at the training ground is good, it’s exciting and hopefully we can continue in the same vein.
“It’s very early days, but it’s a good start for us.”
City visit the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium to take on Queens Park Rangers next, on Saturday.
