CRICKET: PREPARATIONS are well underway at Willoughby Cricket Club as the 2018 season edges ever closer.
The club has extended an invitation for new adult and junior players to join them for the upcoming South Northamptonshire Cricket League.
Young and old at the club will be using the Bilton School Sports Centre (Lawford Lane in Rugby, CV22 7JT) for all their pre-season work-outs, which gets underway this Saturday.
The club’s junior and youth sides start from 1pm until 2.30pm before the Under 11s and 13s practise between 2.45pm and 3.45pm.
Willoughby’s senior/adult section players begin their indoor nets and training on Tuesday, January 23, between from 7pm and 8.30pm.
Willoughby intend to field two Saturday league teams and one on a Wednesday, in the Rugby and District Cricket League. There will also be a Sunday XI.
