A MEMBER of Rugby’s racing Cossar family lifted his first piece of silverware after six-year-old Toby followed in his father Mark’s footsteps.
Toby is the son of six-time and reigning British Masters Sidecar Grasstrack Champion Mark and won all five of his races to capture the 2022 Ebike Gold Cup.
And in true Cossar style, the six-year-old had no fear in battling his way through the field from the back in one of the grasstrack races.
Riding his new Oset bike at the Helsby and District Junior Grasstrack Club, near Chester, this is Toby’s first year in the racing saddle, although he was aboard a balance bike not that long after he was first able to walk.
