AN EIGHT-year-old from Rugby was selected to take part in an England Ice Hockey national team programme.
Hudson Rees, who attends Dunchurch Boughton CofE Junior Academy, took part in the selective camp in Sheffield earlier this month.
Some 56 children, considered to be the top players for their age group in the country, took part in the camp.
He plays under-10s ice hockey for Coventry Blaze and has only been playing the sport for two years.
Hudson hopes to follow in the footsteps of Liam Kirk. Kirk was the first player born and trained in England to be drafted by an NHL team.
He also has ambitions to play for Coventry in the future.
