RUGBY Town became the latest team to fall under the Harborough Town juggernaut after going down 2-0 to the league leaders on Tuesday night.
The United Counties League Premier South contest in torrential conditions in Market Harborough was generally closely-fought but goals from set-pieces at the start and end gave the hosts a 10th win from 11 matches.
Centre-back Paul Malone powered in a header to open the scoring after five minutes and midfielder Josh Walsh curled in a free-kick for 2-0 on 83 minutes.
The hosts certainly deserved their victory as Rugby struggled to break down the Harborough back line. New signing Alex Lock came straight into the Valley line-up, along with the returning Max Johnson and Keenah Rosser.
Rugby return to action next Tuesday with a derby at home to Coventry Sphinx.
