RUGBY Borough missed the chance to move top of the table following a 1-1 home draw against struggling Bourne Town.
After a goalless first period, Brad Marshall put the visitors ahead only for Tendai Daire to draw the home side level moments later at Kilsby Lane.
However, Borough captain Will Grocott suffered a broken arm during the fixture and later received treatment in hospital
The result means Rugby sit third in the Northern Premier League Midlands table, one point behind leaders Coventry Sphinx.
Bourne broke the deadlock on 71 minutes when a ball into the box from the right reached the back post with Marshall on hand to nod the ball into the net from the left edge of the six-yard box.
However, Borough responded two minutes later as Daire headed in a cross from the right from eight-yards out.
Rugby are next in action against Mickleover on Saturday, October 18 with kick-off at 3pm at the Don Amott Arena.
