RUGBY Borough inched closer to safety after scoring a late goal to draw 1-1 against local rivals Coventry Sphinx on Easter Monday.
A late strike from Tendai Daire drew Borough level at Kilsby Lane after Raymond Poku put the struggling visitors ahead.
That came after Rugby suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat away at Loughborough Students as Borough lost on the road for the third game in a row.
The results mean Rugby sit 16th in the Northern Premier League Midlands table, five points clear of the relegation zone with three games left to play.
Rugby are next in action against AFC Rushden and Diamonds on Saturday, April 11 with kick-off at 3pm at Hayden Road.
