TYRELL Waite’s late goal helped Rugby Borough to a 1-0 victory away at Bourne Town as the club ended their three-game losing run.
Waite smashed in the winner eight minutes from time at Abbey Lawn as Borough won for the first time since the turn of the year.
And the result means Rugby sit 13th in the Northern Premier League Midlands table.
The game’s only goal arrived on 82 minutes when Bourne goalkeeper Will Lakin could only save a shot into the path of Waite who turned the loose ball home from point-blank range.
Rugby are next in action against Shepshed Dynamo on Saturday, February 7 with kick-off at 3pm at Kilsby Lane.
