A DEPLETED Rugby Borough Women were hammered 6-0 at home by joint league leaders Knowle Ladies.
Injuries and Covid cases within the Borough squad left them short of numbers as Demi Rolph and Alice Belcher struck in the first-half to hand the visitors a two-goal lead at the break.
Rugby battled bravely but were undone when Rolph grabbed her second of the game before Belcher scored a second-half hat-trick to add some gloss to the scoreline.
The result means Rugby sit seventh in the West Midlands Regional Women’s League Division One South table, having conceded six goals at home for the second week running.
Borough are next in action away at Westfields Women on Sunday, February 6 with kick-off at 2pm at Allpay Park.
