A NINE-YEAR-OLD rider from Willoughby has won the SEIB Insurance Brokers Search for a Star Pony Club First Ridden Championship at Your Horse Live.
Emily Hiscox rode grey Welsh Section A pony Shilbrook Mr Holly to perfection at Stoneleigh Park to take the coveted Search for a Star title.
She is a member of the North Warwickshire Pony Club and Emily’s mum Heather Hiscox owns Duncan.
Emily said: “My best bit of the show was the lap of honour.”
Emily’s mum Heather added: “We’ve owned Duncan (as Shilbrook Mr Holly is known) for eight years. Emily’s big brother Henry rode Duncan in Search for a Star last year and now its his sister’s turn.
“Emily and Duncan do jumping, dressage and cross-country as well as showing. Emily won the Search for a Star Your Horse Live Supreme Championship on her old pony, Thistledown Elpaso two-years-ago.”
