AHEAD of the 2019 season, Willoughby Cricket Club are inviting adult and junior players to join the club before pre-season action begins on January 19.
The village club in nearby Rugby use the facilities at Bilton School Sports Centre on Lawford Lane (CV22 7JT), which include indoor nets and a sports hall, ahead of the season start in mid-April.
The junior and youth sides train on Saturday afternoons until late March – with the Under 15s training between 1.00 to 2.00pm; the under 13s between 2.00 to 3.00pm; whilst the senior sides train commence training on Tuesday, January 22 from 7-8.30pm, with sessions running every Tuesday also until the end of March.
It promises to be an exciting period for the club, as Willoughby are set to compete in the Northamptonshire Cricket League in Division 6 (1st XI) and Division 13 (2nd XI), whilst a team in the Rugby and District Cricket League (RDCL), a Sunday Development XI and teams fielded at Under 13 and 15 levels in the RDCL are also to be in action over the 2019 season.
Alongside Kwik Cricket for boys and girls aged six to ten looking to start out and try cricket for the first time, and sessions costing just £3 for seniors/juniors, there really is no better time to sign up to play.
Willoughby CC urge players to contact contact Karl for senior cricket on 07775 883102 or Rob for junior/youth cricket by email at email@example.com.
