Borough lead the comeback charge with annual youth tournament

Rugby Editorial 29th Aug, 2020   0

A FIRST youth football tournament in Warwickshire since lockdown rules were relaxed was hosted by Rugby Borough over the course of two weekends in August.

With 74 teams participating in all, the need for social distancing and precautionary measures was a must, but Borough were on the receiving end of praise from teams, parents and coaches alike for allowing their annual summer tournament to still go ahead – albeit in differing circumstances to usual.

On offer at the tournament – hosted on the 8th and 9th August, and 22nd and 23rd August – were free one-to-one coaching sessions offered by sponsor RB Coaching to all recipients of the ‘Player of the Tournament’ award from each age group.

The club regularly recruit new players for their youth teams, and welcome any new faces to represent them in the orange and white of Borough – interested parties are asked to find out more information on the club’s website at www.rugbyboroughfc.co.uk/contact-us
