RUGBY Rhinos, the town’s american football team, are currently in their first competitive season having been established just before the Covid-19 pandemic.
The team is based at Webb Ellis Road and caters for young people aged eight to 18 years of age.
And the under-16 team are currently halfway through this season’s tournament and have held their own against more established teams in the region.
Some of the club’s players are part of Great Britain’s under-17 squad.
The club aim to provide youngsters with an introduction to the sport and currently have under-11 and under-14 flag sides as well as under-16 and under-19 contact squads.
Rugby Rhinos are part of the British American Football Association (BAFA) with fully qualified coaches and train every Saturday morning at Webb Ellis Road.
