Woman charged with assaulting police officer in Rugby

A WOMAN has been charged with assaulting a police officer, in connection with an incident in Rugby town centre in the early hours of Sunday morning (March 20).

Carly McDowall, 42, of Teeswater Close, Long Lawford, has been charged with two counts of assault by beating of an emergency worker.

The charges are in connection with an incident which took place in Market Place at around 1.55am on Sunday.

She will appear at Coventry Magistrates’ Court on April 29.
