Volunteers to collect door-to-door Foodbank donations this weekend

A HUMANITARIAN group is going door-to-door to collect much-needed supplies for Rugby Foodbank.

Members of the Rugby Rokeby Lions club will be out and about in Coton Park, Boughton Vale, Eden Park, Admirals Estate, Woodlands and Hillmorton on Saturday (September 26).

Donated items will be made up into food parcels by Foodbank volunteers.

Collectors will be wearing high-vis tabards with the Lions Club name and logo on. They will be in Woodlands, Eden Park and Hillmorton from 10am, Boughton Vale from 11am, and Coton Park and Admirals from 1pm.




Items specifically needed include breakfast cereals, soup, pasta, rice, pasta sauce, tinned beans, tinned meat, tinned vegetables, tinned fruit, tea, coffee, long life fruit juice, long life milk, biscuits and snacks. Visit https://rugby.foodbank.org.uk/give-help/donate-food for more information.

Donors are asked to leave donations in carrier bags outside their front doors 15 minutes early. Visit www.facebook.com/RugbyRokebyLionsClub for specific streets and timings.
