A VIOLENT criminal who was wanted on recall to prison has been caught by police in Rugby.
On Tuesday morning (September 14), police received information a van was being driven around Rugby by the wanted man.
Officers found the van parked in Market Street, and detained and arrested the driver as he returned to the vehicle from a nearby address.
The driver was wanted for breach of his prison release conditions after serving part of a four year sentence for firearms and violence offences.
The driver has been detained in custody and will be sent back to prison to serve the remainder of his sentence.
