Two arrested on suspicion of stabbing man during altercation

A SUSPECTED stabbing took place in Rugby yesterday (Wednesday September 16).

Police were called to Frobisher Road at around 10.30am, after a man sustained a suspected stab wound during an altercation.

The man, in his early 20s, was taken to hospital where he is currently recovering. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Two men, aged 18 and 19, have been arrested in connection with the incident. They have been released on bail while enquiries continue.




Det Insp Jim Rankin from Warwickshire Police said: “This is currently being treated as an isolated incident, with no threat to the wider public.

“We would ask anyone who witnessed the incident yesterday or who may have any information to please call Warwickshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 104 of September 16.”
