A MOTORCYCLIST who was trapped beneath the tow-bar of a 4×4 pulling a trailer has sustained injuries described as ‘life changing’.

The cyclist, a man believed to be in his 30s, became trapped after a collision on Leamington Road in Ryton-on-Dunsmore at around 3.30pm on Tuesday (September 16).

Once released by ambulance staff, he was found to have significant lower limb injuries including fractures, and a suspected fractured pelvis.

He was given pain relief, stabilised, immobilised and taken to the major trauma centre at Walsgrave Hospital for further emergency treatment.

No one else was injured in the collision.
