Thurlaston Fete's new autumn date falls this weekend

Andy Morris 2nd Sep, 2025   0

A VILLAGE fete near Rugby has moved from its traditional summertime slot to early autumn.

Thurlaston Fete will take place in Main Street and Church Lane from 2pm to 4pm on Saturday (September 6).

The theme of this year’s event is Thurlaston’s Autumn Harvest Extravaganza, reflecting the move from its traditional date in July.

Stalls will include village-run children’s games, gifts and garden plants, honey, bric-a-brac, books and bottles, and craft stalls ranging from pottery and leather to jewellery.

The fete will also welcome the Toft Alpacas and ukelele group Rugbylele, while refreshments will include hot dogs and ice creams, tea and cakes in the Village Hall, and Pimm’s with live music at St Edmunds Church.

Coordinator Sylvia Jacques said: “We’re really excited about this year’s fete and its seasonal theme to celebrate our September date. We’ve booked some warm autumn sunshine!”

Entry is free. Proceeds will go to Thurlaston Village Hall and St Edmund’s Church.

Email [email protected] to run a stall at the fete for a £10 contribution and a donation to the prize draw.
