LUCKY – that is how medics described three women who came away relatively unscathed after the car they were travelling in came off the road, rolled over and came to rest in a field.
The crash happened at the junction of Rugby Road and Cathiron Lane in Harborough Magna at around 8.30am on Thursday (November 6).
When two ambulances and a paramedic officer arrived at the scene, the three women had all managed to free themselves from the car.
The driver, 43, and a 17-year-old passanger were both immobilised with a neck collar and spinal board and treated for neck and back injuries before being taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for further treatment.
The third passenger was assessed by ambulance crews and found to be uninjured.
