THE TALE of a Rugby shopkeeper who found homes for hundreds of Jewish children saved from the horrors of the holocaust will form part of a talk on Holocaust Memorial Day (Monday January 27).
The free talk hosted by Rugby Christadelphians will explore the Kindertransport, an initiative which rescued Jewish children and brought them to safety in Britain.
Rugby shopkeeper Alan Overton, a member of the Rugby Christadelphians, dedicated himself to finding homes for around 250 of those children.
The free illustrated talk takes place at the Christadelphian Hall in Oliver Street on Monday (January 27) at 8pm.
