Snakes stolen during Hillmorton burglary

Rugby Editorial 13th Dec, 2021   0

SNAKES have been stolen from a Hillmorton home.

The 15 Royal Pythons were taken during a burglary at a property in Horne Close between 7.30am and 10.30am on Saturday (December 11).

An offender is understood to have forced entry to the property and ransacked the interior before removing the snakes, a wheeled holdall, a quantity of cash and some keys.

Officers believe the snakes, which have individual markings making them easier to identify, would have been placed into the holdall and taken through Watts Lane Cemetery.

Enquiries are ongoing and officers are appealing for anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the time to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111, quoting incident number 137 of December 11.
