Schoolkids efforts keep Rugby tidy

EX-MAYOR Bill Sewell teamed up with youngsters from Hillmorton Primary School to clean up their neighbourhood.

Children from Year 6, who have been helping to keep their area tidy, got together to continue litter picking on Hillmorton Village Green and the surrounding area – including Featherbed Lane Recreation Field and the footpath connecting it to the Paddox shopping parade.

Deputy Head Craig McKee said: “Our pupils are happy to be able to give something back to the local community.”

Mr Sewell added: “The pupils were very enthusiastic about the pick and enjoyed themselves.”
