RUGBY’S churches will once again be opening their doors for a range of Christmas services, having been closed due to the pandemic last year.

Here are the special events and services planned by Rugby’s churches in December.

Bilton Evangelical Church

Saturday December 18, 6pm: Christmas Quiz Evening; Sunday December 19, 4pm: Christmas Carol Service; Christmas Day, 10.30am. Book at www.becchurch.org.uk/christmasbookings2021. Live streams available at https://tinyurl.com/27ftejy5.




Bilton Methodist Church

Sunday December 19, 10.30am: Carol Service; Christmas Day, 9.30am; December 31, 1.30pm.


Christ Church Brownsover

Wednesday December 22, 6pm: Outdoor Community Carol Service; Christmas Eve, 4pm: Crib Service; 11.30pm Midnight Communion; Christmas Day, 10am: Christmas Communion.

Good Shepherd, Newton

Saturday December 25, 9am: Christmas Holy Communion.

Overslade Church, Overslade Community Centre

Saturday December 11, 5pm: Outdoor Carol Service.

Paddox Methodist Church

Sunday December 19, 6.30pm: Lessons and carols; Christmas Eve, 11.30pm: ‘Midnight’ Service; Christmas Day, 10.30am: Morning Service; Boxing Day, 10.30am: Service with Carols.

Rugby Baptist Church

Sunday December 12, 10.30am: Girls’ and Boys’ Brigade Parade service, collecting new toys in aid of Barnardo’s; December 18, 10am to 1pm: Christmas Countdown – a time of craft, games, singing, snacks and prizes for Primary age children; December 19, 10.30am: Nativity service led by the church children; December 19, 6.30pm: Candle-lit carol service, with traditional carols and readings; Christmas Eve, 6.30pm: Reflective carol service; Christmas Day, 10.30am: Christmas Family Celebration.

Rugby Evangelical Free Church

Christmas Eve, 7.30pm: Carols by Candlelight; Christmas Day 10.30am: Christmas Day Service.
