Rugby man charged after Tesla found crashed into garage

A RUGBY man has been arrested and charged with several offences after a car was found crashed into a garage.

On Tuesday (February 11), a member of the public called police to report concerns about the way a white Tesla was being driven in the town.

Rugby Police PCs Sweeney and Luisi arrived on Oulton Road to discover a Tesla had left the road and crashed into a garage.

A 37-year-old Aravashi Anbarasu of Oulton Road in Rugby was arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drink or drugs.

He has been charged with failing to provide a specimen, driving without insurance, and driving a vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence.

He is due to appear before magistrates in Leamington on February 28.
