JEWELLERY believed to have been stolen has been found in a van in Lutterworth – and police are trying to reunite it with its owners.
Gold earrings with precious stones, charms, necklaces and rings were found in the van in December last year – and are thought to be in connection with a number of burglaries across Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Northamptonshire.
Two bags of sixpence coins dating back to the 1940s were also recovered, along with 29 Jubilee Coins in clear wallets.
The police are keen to reunite the items of jewellery with their owners as well as finding residents who may know more about the van.
If you recognise the items, or have more information, contact Leicestershire Police on 101.
