Purse snatched from 92-year-old in Rugby

A 92-YEAR-OLD woman had her purse stolen while she was shopping in Rugby.

The incident happened on Friday (July 10) around 11.15am in Aldi on Hillmorton Road.

The woman was shopping in the fruit and vegetable aisle when another woman reached into her bag and took her purse, which contained around £40.

Police would like to speak to the woman pictured in connection with the theft.

They are urging other shoppers to keep their purses and valuables on them at all times and not leave them unattended in or on trolleys.

Anyone who recognises the woman is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
