A SUMMER of fun is on the way for children at a Rugby nursery thanks to a donation of toys.
Old Station Nursery in Houlton received a bundle of toys from housebuilder Lovell Homes.
The toys, which include colourful steppingstones, stilts and bouncy cows, will encourage the children to spend more time outside and build skills like co-ordination and motor control.
Nursery manager Gina Hughes said: “The team at Lovell was very receptive and welcoming of our feedback when they reached out to us on what would be best to donate, and what the kids would enjoy the most.
“We loved the idea of some outside toys and games the kids could interact with and that could support our wider goals of enhancing the children’s development through play.
“The kids had a blast when Lovell dropped the items off and it’s fantastic to see a housing developer really investing in the area in which they’re building.”
