ROADWORKS will be in place in Newbold until the end of April, as an £85,000 project to replace 400m of ageing water pipes gets underway.
Water supplier Severn Trent says the project will provide customers with improved water quality and reliability for years to come.
Work at the junction of Brownsover Road and Pantolf Place started on Monday February 7, and will continue in Pantolf Place itself.
Shannon Currall from Severn Trent said: “Customers in Rugby deserve a modern water supply that they can rely on. That’s why we’re making this investment to prevent future leaks and bursts.
“We’ll be doing everything we can to minimise any disruption while we’re working in the area. We’d like to thank everyone in advance for their patience and understanding as we get this essential work done.”
Traffic management will be in place throughout the duration of the project, including temporary traffic lights at the junction of Brownsover Road.
