THE FIGHT against the climate emergency in Rugby has received a boost in the form of new funding.
Rugby based Stobart, part of the Culina Group, has launched its new Stobart Sustainability Fund to support not-for-profit organisations, community groups, schools and colleges in the Rugby area involved in sustainability initiatives.
Funding will be provided to projects which tackle climate change, reduce carbon emissions, or protect and enhance the environment.
Stobart CEO David Pickering said: “We want to help improve the natural environment, and to encourage long term sustainability.
“The Stobart Sustainability Fund promotes community engagement and participation in environmental and sustainability projects, and aims to support community-led projects and initiatives around all our UK sites to help the evolution of a greener and more sustainable world.”
