MASKED robbers stole cash and cigarettes from a petrol station in Rugby last weekend.

Two men wearing balaclavas reportedly went into the Hillmorton Road shop at 7am on Sunday (May 8).

Enquiries by officers at the scene led to two men being arrested at a nearby house half an hour later.

Two men from Rugby, aged 32 and 35, were arrested on suspicion of robbery. They were later bailed while enquiries continue.

Anyone with information that could help police with their enquiries is asked to call 101 quoting incident 71 of May 8. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
