A DRIVER has died in a car crash in Lutterworth.
A silver Volkswagen Golf, a black Honda Civic and a white Scania lorry collided on the A4303 westbound, just off the roundabout for junction 20 of the M1, just before 6pm on Wednesday (February 11). The lorry was parked in a layby at the time.
The driver of the Golf, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
No other injuries were reported and no-one was arrested.
DC Madeleine Hayes from Leicestershire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “Enquiries to establish the circumstances of what happened are continuing and I’d like anyone who can help but who has not yet spoken to us to come forward.
“I’m particularly keen to speak to anyone with a dashcam who witnessed the collision, or saw either the Golf or Civic beforehand.
“Anything you’re able to provide, no matter how insignificant you think it is, could help.”
