Man arrested after town centre security guard reports being racially abused

A MAN has been arrested after a security worker at a shop in Rugby town centre reported being racially abused on December 30.

The 30-year-old man was later arrested at Rugby Train Station on suspicion of committing a racially aggravated public order offence. He was later released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Any witnesses or anyone with information about the incident are asked to call 101 quoting incident 134 of December 30. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
