Lutterworth Plant, Craft and Food Fair benefits good causes

GOOD weather helped good causes at the Rotary Club of Lutterworth’s 16th Annual Plant, Craft and Food Fair.

Around 1,300 visitors came to the grounds of Misterton Hall where plant, craft and food retailers reported brisk business.

Attractions included old country fair favourites such as horseshoe throwing, field skittles and splat the rat, and many participants walked away with a prize.

Around 63 classic vintage vehicles attended the fair, with a 1955 Black Austin A50 Cambridge Saloon owned by Mr and Mrs Maruda deemed to be best in show.

Lutterworth Rotary’s PR Officer Peter J Osborn said: “It was a brilliant day, and the Rotary Club of Lutterworth would like to thank all of those people that came out to support us, the stall holders for offering such a great retailer experience, the vehicle owners for a super show, the volunteers without which this would not have been possible, and Mrs Craven whose garden looked spectacular.

“We look forward to seeing you all again next year. Please save the day, it will be May 26, 2024.”

Money raised will go towards charities supported by the Rotary Club of Lutterworth.
