RECORD numbers of cyclists jumped in the saddle for the seventh annual Lutterworth Big Bike Ride.
More than 600 fund-raisers rode one of four routes ranging from 11 to 62 miles.
The routes all followed the scenic highways and byways of south Leicestershire and north Northamptonshire, with the 39 mile route running directly through the Naseby battlefield site.
As in previous years, the event started and finished in the grounds of Misterton Hall.
Riders were welcomed back with a hog roast provided by Neil Green Catering, the event’s main sponsor.
The event, which has raised £19,000 for charity in the past six years, was organised by Lutterworth Rotary Club as part of its charity fund-raising efforts.
This year’s event is set to raise around £6,000 for Epilepsy Action, Rotary Disabled Sports and other Rotary supported charities.
