A WOMAN has been charged with manslaughter following the death of a seven-month-old baby in Lutterworth.
30-year-old Chuanfeng Zheng, of Mortlock Close, Southwark, London appeared in Leicester Magistrates Court yesterday (February 3) and has been remanded into custody.
The charges are for an incident in the Linden Drive area of Lutterworth on March 22 last year, which led to the death of a baby girl three days later.
Police are continuing to investigate the “suspicious circumstances” which led the young girl dying in hospital.
Miss Zheng is set to appear at Leicester Crown Court on Wednesday March 2.
