CHILDREN and parents entered the dragon’s den when they met a local author at Lutterworth Library.
Gill Vickery, who wrote the Dragon Child series of novels, entertained visitors with readings from her books.
Gill, who teaches creative writing at Percival Guildhouse in Rugby, also wrote the highly regarded children’s series Franklin’s Emporium.
Details of her latest book, a mystery tale for young adults set in Italy, will be released at the Frankfurt Book Fair in October and is expected to be in the shops by early in 2019.
After the readings, Gill answered questions about her books, and said: “As a children’s specialist librarian and full time author, I like to do what I can to support my local library.
“For most writers, this is where it begins.”
