The Avon Valley School and Performing Arts College has praised students’ ‘hard work, dedication, and resilience’, with many achieving results which ‘reflect their commitment to academic excellence’.
The school’s highest achieving student Ruo attained six Grade 9, two Grade 8s, one Grade 7 and one Grade 6.
Aleksandra Ola achieved three Grade 9s, four Grade 7s and two Grade 8s, while Max got five Grade 8s, three Grade 7s and one Grade 6s.
Many students also made significant gains on expected outcomes.
Drew scored a L2D* (equivalent to 8.5 points), six subjects at Grade 5 and two at Grade 6.
Peter got one Grade 6, five Grade 5s, one Grade 5/4 and a Grade 4.
Isabel achieved three Grade 5s and six Grade 4s, while Tamsin attained a L2D, L2M, two Grade 5s, one Grade 5/4 and three Grade 4s.
Headteacher Blake Francis said: “I am incredibly proud of each and every one of our students for their GCSE results.
“This year’s cohort has shown extraordinary perseverance and determination, particularly in the face of the challenges posed by the past few years.
“Their achievements are a testament to their hard work, the support of our dedicated staff, and the encouragement of their families.
