A TREE-MENDOUS Christmas is on the cards for a Rugby community after it was gifted a large Christmas tree.
The residents of Coton Park received the tree from developer Persimmon Homes.
The installation of the 14-foot tree was marked by a celebratory Coton Park Residents Association (CPRA) light switch-on ceremony and Christmas sing-along which was attended by over 100 residents.
Resident Dean Welburn said: “We are grateful to Persimmon Homes for once again providing us with a festive tree. It’s a great way for the CPRA to bring the community together and be proud of where we live.
“Our event raised £100 which we’re donating to the OurJay Foundation in memory of one of the estate’s great characters – friend and community volunteer Jim Willin, who we sadly lost in August.”
Neil Williams, Regional Managing Director at Persimmon Homes Central, said: “We’re delighted that the residents of Coton Park are pleased with their tree and wish them all a very Merry Christmas.”
