THE ‘DAREDEVIL’ manager of a Rugby care home is taking the plunge for a local hospice charity.
Violeta Beasu, the Senior General Manger at Overslade House, will be doing a sponsored skydive in April to raise funds for Myton Hospices.
She will dive through the clouds in a tandem skydive with Rose Tucker, the Activity Coordinator at sister care home Cubbington Mill in Leamington, with the aim of raising £1,000 for the charity.
Residents, relatives and staff at the homes will be cheering the pair on as they aim to beat their target goal.
Violeta said: “Our goal for taking part in this challenge was to raise awareness of the fantastic job Myton Hospice does for the people and the families they support.
“Everyone at Overslade has been really supportive; we’re daredevils and it’s for such a good cause so that keeps us focused.”
The Myton Hospices, which delivers compassionate end-of-life care at its facilities in Coventry, Rugby and Warwick, needs to raise £11million of the £14.3million it costs to provide its services free of charge each year.
