DANCERS at a Rugby stage school have celebrated after receiving their long-awaited exam results.

Pupils at Jaide’s Stage Studios have finally been able to take their International Dance Teachers Association exams after a wait of over two years due to the pandemic.

A total of 170 exams were taken – and achieved a 100 per cent pass rate, with 50 out of 52 graded exams receiving the highest marking brackets of ‘Honours’ or ’Distinctions’.

Principal Jaide Ellery-Martin said: “I really could not be more proud, and the pupils are a credit to me and their parents. I must make a special mention to Keira J, who received an exceptional overall highest mark of the session.”

“It’s been over two years since we were last able to hold any presentations since the pandemic began, and my students have worked tirelessly to be able to take their long-awaited exams given they only had a short time to prepare.

“A presentation was finally held in the Rugby College Theatre to award some of the students who were able to attend, with the support of their family and friends.

“It was lovely and so rewarding for me to see such happy joyous faces.”
