KIDS in Crick will have their artwork on display to the whole village during this weekend’s Crick Boat Show.
Year 5 pupils at Crick Primary School drew pictures of canal features during a recent towpath stroll along the Leicester Line of the Grand Union Canal.
The pictures have been featured on a new village banner.
Back in the classroom, the children have also been learning about water safety and canal heritage through a series of activities led by Canal & River Trust Explorers.
Year 5 teacher Lindsay Morris said: “Canals are wonderful places for children to visit and we are really pleased our Year 5 pupils have been given this opportunity.”
The 2018 Crick Boat Show and Waterways Festival takes place from Saturday to Monday (May 26-28). Visit www.crickboatshow.com for more information.
