CRICK Marina was the destination for many a waterway enthusiast over the bank holiday weekend.
The annual Crick Boat Show and Waterways Festival attracted thousands – young and old alike – who chugged along to enjoy boat tours and trips, exhibitions, a fun fair, live music, real ale, children’s activities and an armada of food and drink stalls.
Singer-songwriter Hazel O’Connor topped the entertainment bill with a set which included songs from the film Breaking Glass.
The show also featured performances from Murphy’s Marbles with Sean Cannon of the Dubliners, and Northampton reggae
favourites Rhythm n’ Roots.
Organised by Waterways World in partnership with the Canal and River Trust and Crick Marina, the show attracted an estimated 25,000 visitors.
Observer photographer Jon Mullis popped along on Saturday (May 23) to dip his toe in the water.
