PROUD staff and parents at a Cawston nursery have celebrated a top rating from inspectors.
Nature Trails Day Nursery has achieved an ‘outstanding’ judgement from education regulator Ofsted following an inspection in October – a rating achieved by only 10 per cent of all English Early Years providers.
Inspectors praised the ‘incredibly nurturing’ team for creating an atmosphere of ‘respect, kindness and thoughtfulness’ where ‘children receive consistent care’.
The report observed children’s behaviour was ‘superb’ and had a ‘thirst for learning’.
Inspectors also praised the nursery for its support for children with special educational needs or disabilities, and its leaders for their passion in providing care for children.
Parents described the nursery as ‘nurturing environment’ for their children.
Inspectors Tracey Boland and Christine Ward said: “Children flourish in this nurturing environment. Staff create an exciting environment for children, both indoors and outdoors.
“Resources are plentiful, and activities spark children’s natural curiosity to learn. As a result, children are highly motivated and eager to become involved.”
Nursery Manager Kelly Lawson said staff were ‘over the moon’.
She added: “This is a testament to the passion and dedication of the team in providing our children with the best possible start in life, and we are so grateful to our incredible network of nursery parents who work alongside us to create such a fantastic learning environment.”
