AIR ambulance chiefs are calling on people to help paint the town yellow this autumn.
Crew, staff, and supporters will be taking to the streets to show off their support for Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA) by wearing a yellow pin badge.
They’ll be handing out thousands of yellow pin badges from September 21 to 27 in exchange for donations during their first ever Air Ambulance Week.
And they are appealing to people to volunteer an hour of their time to help sell the badges in aid of the charity which relies totally on donations to continue operating.
Critical care paramedic Jenny Conway said: “Our service carried out nearly 1,000 missions last year – that’s about three missions every single day.
“But we couldn’t do that without our supporters. We don’t receive any government funding, and each mission costs around £1,700. That’s why I’ll be out there this September, come rain or shine. Please join me – and give an hour to help save a life.”
